Hotel Thaynes, Park City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Our flights were cancelled, leaving us stuck in Utah for two extra days, and Brittany was a huge help through all the chaos. The staff gave us outstanding service all week, stayed cheerful, and remembered details about our group from earlier conversations. The shuttle drivers were helpful with pickup arrangements and recommendations. My favorite was the weekday Park City Mountain driver, who I believe was named Tenley, though it was a close call. Coming back from the mountain to hot chocolate and cookies every day was such a sweet touch. I can’t recommend this place enough.

We came back for a second year because of Art, the manager, Ana, and the rest of their team. The recent remodel has made everything feel fresh, updated, and even more comfortable. We had a great stay last year before the work, too, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the upgrades. Art is welcoming, professional, and truly caring. He goes out of his way to make sure things are handled and guests feel looked after. His attention to detail sets the tone for the whole hotel. From the fireplace when you walk in to the hot chocolate and cookies after a cold day, the excellent breakfast each morning, and the free shuttle into town every 15 minutes, the place feels like home. You don’t feel like just another reservation here. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully every year, and next time we’re bringing the whole family. I highly recommend Thaynes Hotel if you’re staying in Park City.

The amenities here are excellent: indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, plus a sauna, steam room, and a very clean fitness center. It’s also only five minutes from the Park City ski resort. The rooms are nice and cleaned regularly, and the staff are friendly. Definitely a hotel worth staying at.

The pool and sauna were a highlight, a relaxing place to wind down after the mountain, and the atmosphere was laid back. The kids also loved the daily hot chocolate and cookies from 4-6pm. Hotel Thaynes, a Marriott Bonvoy property, is new and comfortable, and we had a good stay. We visit Park City each year and have also stayed at Hotel Park City, St. Regis, and the Sheraton. My one suggestion is to improve the coffee. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a decent option on site, but there wasn’t one, so we had to order it through DoorDash every morning. I’d consider coming back if the coffee were brought up to the level of the rest of the experience.
