Marriott's Summit Watch

Parking used to be included, which was one of the big draws for locals. Now it's $30 a night, so keep that in mind. If I found another nice place that included parking, I'd probably choose it. When available, I like staying here because the rooms are clean and more updated, parking is convenient, and you can walk to the shops, restaurants, and Main Street.

The views are beautiful and the location is perfect, but Kirk and Juan are what made our stay. From arrival, they were warm, welcoming, genuinely kind, and went out of their way to help. You can tell they care, and it made all the difference. I don't know whether it's Park City magic or this hotel, but the hospitality felt special. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Park City and am already looking forward to coming back.

My stay itself was solid, and 1-800 customer service ultimately refunded the charge and handled that professionally, which I appreciated. The confusing part was a $30 charge labeled “timeshare” that turned out to be for parking. The amount wasn't a big deal, but the description should be clear. Customer service agreed it should say parking fee. I was traveling as a musician on a tight schedule and checked in quickly before soundcheck, so I hadn't discussed it then. When I called, Tyler Pacheco (Manager or on duty — he stated) was dismissive. I explained that extra charges should be clearly communicated upfront, even if they're policy, and that I wasn't upset about the fee itself. More accountability and professionalism would have helped. I asked why they couldn't offer a discount on a next stay or a dinner discount to improve the experience. Clear billing and more consistent service would make a difference.

In May, this was the best value anywhere, with a 900 square foot room at a great price. My wife and I didn't need all that space, but we took it because we could. LOL
