Our car has been stuck in the garage for four hours because the ancient car elevator is broken, and the HOA hasn't answered or resolved anything. We have a 12-hour drive ahead and a child waiting at our destination. At this point, renting another car and leaving ours behind seems to be the only option, and there's no resolution in sight. The elevator was already broken briefly when we arrived, but we were told we had to park on the lower level using it or risk a ticket. We hesitated because of the outage. Since then, we've learned it's often down, including the day before, and some people were told to move their cars while we weren't. The elevator looks like the inside of a dumpster. It could be worse, I suppose, we could be trapped inside it. Horrible experience.
