The shuttle was good, and we never waited long. The hot tub was hot, but it didn’t have jets. The rest of the stay had plenty of frustrations: the internet was so weak that streaming kept lagging and failing, and I couldn’t work on my laptop, so I had to use the lobby. The unit felt small and old, with worn furniture and an uncomfortable mattress. The sofa bed was broken, and the kitchen had so little cookware that making anything beyond a one-pot meal was difficult. The dining table sits right in front of the fireplace. Washers and dryers are shared on each floor, two of each, rather than being in the unit. There were no ski lockers, so four sets of skis took up space in an already small room.
The pool was okay, but I wouldn’t spend the time or money on this place unless you’re fine with a one-bedroom condo about the size of a hotel room. It has an outside entrance and no closet, so belongings are just stuffed wherever they fit. I can’t picture staying here for a ski trip. It was cool outside, yet the room stayed between 75-77. I don’t like having to leave a bedroom window open beside the outdoor walkway used by all the rooms.
The location worked well for us, with grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. We also appreciated having free use of a washer and dryer while traveling on a six-week road trip. The outside, elevator, and hallways look dated, and this isn’t a luxury hotel, but the price was reasonable for clean, comfortable accommodations. We had been unsure after reading some unfavorable Trip Advisor reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The unit was very clean and well kept, with a nicely arranged living room and kitchen, an outdoor balcony, a separate bathroom, and a separate bedroom. There was plenty of space for my wife and me during our few days in Park City.
The shuttle drivers were the one bright spot. They were kind and helpful taking guests to and from the mountain. We’d paid around $900 expecting a good room, but check-in gave us keys to a room that was already occupied. We opened the door and found guests sleeping there, which felt deeply uncomfortable and like a serious privacy and safety breach for everyone. Afterward, we were moved to a disabled-access room. The way the situation was handled was very disappointing and made the stay much worse than expected.
The adults-only hour for the pool is too short, and in practice we only got about 40/45 minutes because a rude guy came in at 9:45, said the pool was closed, and told us to leave, even though closing time had changed from 11 to 10. The first time, four people from two parties were quietly reading on their own. The next time, five people from three parties were chatting so softly we could hardly hear each other. It’s incredibly disappointing to be pushed out early when everyone’s being that quiet. Do better, park regency.
