Northland Motel near University - State College, PA

The side entrance was kind of hard to find. The housekeeper and office staff were cool, though, and it was pretty neat having a bowling alley and pool hall/bar attached to the hotel.

The woman in the office was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was really convenient.

I just needed somewhere to sleep, not live, and at $45 a night it wasn't too bad when most places charge $100 or more. The room was clean, the bathroom was OK, and there was cable TV. It felt on par with some Motel 6 locations. The sheets were thin, pillows plain, and blankets blah. There was no Wi-Fi or vending machine, and some of the people staying there seemed somewhat shady. The office is inside the bowling alley, LOL.

After working 14 hours, I came back to the room, used the toilet, and it overflowed when I flushed. A worker from the attached bowling alley, not even the hotel, brought up a plunger and said he was maintenance and had been told to give it to me. I had to plunge my own toilet twice. Then there was nobody in the office when I went to return the keys. The people staying here, who live here, were the ones who brought me extra pillows because ours were flaaaaat. All I got otherwise was clean towels. The creamer containers were empty and the trash was still on the counter. Not happy.
