Those two nights at the Old Parkdale Inn were a lovely way to enjoy Hood River valley during the annual fruit harvest. Chinook Suite was spotless, with a roomy bathroom and a queen bed that was really comfortable. Mary & Steve were great company and shared helpful ideas for things to see and do nearby. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was especially good. We ate at Solera Brewing the first evening, just a few steps from the Inn, and went to Apple Valley BBQ the next night. The BBQ was affordable, portions were generous, and the pear slaw and garlic mashed potatoes were so good. Having two EV chargers at the Inn was handy too, since we could charge overnight. I'd happily recommend it as a getaway in the valley.

The hosts, Ms. Pellegrini and her family, made us feel so at ease that it was like being welcomed into a relative's home. They even took our dietary restrictions into account and prepared delicious meals for us, which meant a lot. The inn felt cozy and peaceful, with nature all around, and their suggestions for restaurants, hikes, and lesser-known places made the trip more memorable. We left feeling full, cared for, and like we'd made friends. It was one of our most memorable getaways, and we'd love to come back and recommend the Old Parkdale Inn to anyone looking for genuine hospitality.

We were stuck in town for a while, and although every room was occupied, the couple kindly let my friend and me wait in the lobby for a couple of hours while we sorted things out. They were very welcoming and accommodating, and even offered us sweets. I'd definitely suggest stopping by if you're in town.

The little coffee pots we bought from the gift shop are a lovely reminder of our visit. We brought a couple home, and using them takes us back to the warm, comfortable feeling we had at the Old Parkdale Inn. The hosts made us feel like family and gave us thoughtful local tips, from places to eat to hikes and scenic drives we might otherwise have missed. The inn was cozy and peaceful, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived in Parkdale. We left refreshed and grateful, already hoping to return. If you're after a quiet stay with a family feel and hosts who really care, this place was wonderful.

The photos don't quite capture how cozy the Chinook suite feels or how nice the amenities are. Mary and Steve had everything we needed, and I could easily have stayed there for a month. We spent two nights there for Gorge Open Studios and were glad to find such a quiet, cute spot close to Hood River activities. The suite was spacious, and the tasty breakfast helped make the weekend much cheaper than a hotel. There are several good lunch and dinner options just a couple blocks away, and we didn't have to deal with the 30-90 minute waits for a table that you get in Hood River.
