Rodeway Inn & Suites

We were driving from Chicago to Oklahoma when we got tired and stopped here. The beds were really comfortable, and the service was very nice. The friendly woman at the front desk helped us out with restaurant suggestions, and breakfast in the morning was amazing too. I’d definitely stop here again.

As a business traveler, I care a lot about a comfortable bed, and these beds are great. The room also had plenty of outlets and a closet, features that can be hard to find in newer hotels. It was quiet and clean, and the innkeepers were nice and helpful. Breakfast comes with the room, and the mini waffles are my favorite. The rooms are what I expect in a Quality Inn. This one suits my needs better than the other popular hotel in town, and it costs less.

There’s a poltergeist in this hotel, though it doesn’t seem mean or threatening. It likes slamming the second-floor stairwell door handle. The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. I’m not bothered by paranormal stuff, but has anyone else experienced anything like this?

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Our furniture was dirty, so we had to wipe it down ourselves. We were allowed to check in early on Friday, but on Saturday morning we were told to check out after the hotel had changed our stay details. We’d asked several times whether early check-in was okay, and no one mentioned that our stay would be edited. Then we were told we’d have to pay for another night. We packed up and left, and the hotel across the street kindly took us in. Before posting this, after getting off the phone with the hotel we’re now staying at, we noticed someone had been in our room while we were out: there was somebody else’s hair in the bathroom, and the sign we’d put on the door was gone. Never again will I drive 13 hours to stay here, even if I have points to use.
