Rodeway Inn & Suites Pasadena

The elevator is painfully loud and makes the whole floor rumble whenever it runs, and there’s construction going on too. The place has gone downhill since last year. The rooms are nasty and cheaply kept, with paper-thin walls. Employees were rude and no help. The futon was stained and disgusting, they should get rid of it. I won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

The manager at the front desk, Guy Sam, was really rude. There was noise in the hallway all night, and the guests in the room above us kept me awake. I’d booked a room while traveling through town for the holidays, hoping to rest before a long drive the next day, but that didn’t happen. The rooms were dirty and looked like they needed upkeep, and there were no smoke detectors on the ceiling. That’s dangerous. The people hanging around seemed questionable, and guests appeared to check in for only a few hours. I hadn’t known there were motels in Pasadena you could book by the hour. The whole setup felt sketchy. This place is a dump. I’d pay about $20 more to stay somewhere cleaner and safer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We’re leaving tomorrow and are already sad about it. The staff have been awesome, and we love the room. The shower is great, with plenty of soap, body wash, and conditioning shampoo. We only needed our own conditioner. Even after hot showers, the bathroom fan cleared the steam, and the mirror is fantastic. There are USB ports too. A woman was screaming outside at 2am last night, but the police arrived in about five minutes, which amazed us. Where we’re from in New Mexico, you’re lucky if the police show up at all. We’ve had an amazing stay and will come back when we return to CA.

My boyfriend and I booked a room at the last minute, and check-in and check-out each took five minutes or less. The staff were really kind, and we were blown away by how nice the room was. For the price, I was genuinely shocked by the quality.
