King City Motel by OYO Pasco

I had a booking for a weekend when I was vending at back-to-back events. Since the first event ended at 9 pm and the drive to the next one took 3-4 hours, I knew I'd arrive late and contacted the property. They approved the midnight-to-1 am arrival and said they looked forward to my stay, so I felt reassured when my check-in time was changed from the usual after-4 pm time. When we got there just before 1 am, I gave my name and said we had finally made it. The response was, “we full sorry.” I thought they might not have understood me, so I showed them the reservation on my phone, but they repeated that they couldn't help because they were full. I kept trying because cancelling or changing the online booking would have charged me. We were left stranded in a city we didn't know, and every hotel we'd called for the past hour was full. We eventually found a room in the next city. The next day, they said it was their mistake and offered us a room for that night. No thanks. I wouldn't recommend this place. Avoid it if you don't want them to leave you stuck after confirming your late arrival.

I booked and paid over the phone. When I arrived, the woman at the desk took a long time to come help, then rudely told me there was no room and said she'd already called the company, which had supposedly taken care of it. She didn't call again and started doing something else until I insisted. I needed my money back so I could find another room, but for three days they kept offering me a room or another location instead of a refund. No one gave me an answer or called me back, and the email address they provided didn't work for filing a complaint. It was frustrating and unprofessional that they wouldn't fix what seemed like a small issue. Three weeks later, heading toward a month, I'm still waiting for the refund and a call back. When I called again, I got the same response that their team was working on it. I don't know why it's taking so long or whether anything is actually being done. I need that money for a hotel room, and it's embarrassing to keep calling. It's outrageous that no one has sorted this out.

I was there for less than half an hour and didn't stay overnight. I was refused a refund of more than $76.00. King City OYO chose to handle this customer service nightmare by keeping my money. There were swarms of flies, cockroaches, a room with an overpowering perfume smell, and thin walls that let every guest's conversation blare through.

I cancelled before the cancellation deadline after my friend got sick and we couldn't stay, but they still charged the full amount. I booked online, and when I called and emailed, they said a policy I hadn't seen meant they couldn't refund me. Had I known about that policy, I wouldn't have booked. I also hear the neighborhood is bad and the hotel is low quality. Don't book or stay here. Stay away!
