Residence Inn Atlanta Norcross/Peachtree Corners

I booked and paid for a King suite but was given a queen bed. When I asked about the mismatch and possible upgrades as a Platinum Elite Marriott member, the front desk said there were no other rooms. After entering, I saw that the sheets were dirty and hadn’t even been made up from the previous guest, so I left right away and found another local hotel. I couldn’t stay there; it was disgusting. The beds were uncomfortable, the rooms unclean, the location felt sketchy, the hotel smelled like urine, and front desk service was poor. It felt like Motel 6 quality under a Marriott name. I’ve never had a Marriott stay this bad and won’t return. I don’t recommend it, and I’ll tell others to avoid it. For this price, you can stay somewhere nicer nearby, or get similar Motel 6/Red Roof Inn quality for half the cost.

They ran out of coffee at 7:15 AM, and it would take 15 minutes to bring more. I had a plane to catch, so I had to go buy coffee elsewhere, even though there were two full hot water containers and just one coffee. Nobody could explain it. Earlier, I found there was no body wash in the shower and had to get out to fetch the bar soap from the sink. When I told the front desk, the woman asked what she was supposed to do about it and didn’t apologize. As a Gold Elite member, this stay was extremely disappointing.

I got a message in the morning saying my room was ready, but when I arrived I was told I’d have to pay a $25 early check-in fee. Rude and unacceptable. There’s also a $12 daily parking charge. Better quality hotels are available nearby, so I’d avoid this one.

I booked a month ahead and arrived on 9/17, only to be told after waiting in line that my room had been sold because they overbooked. I was looking at my reservation in the Bonvoy App and glad I was a member, but it didn’t help. No manager was available; they gave me the manager’s card and said there were no rooms. The person at the desk seemed helpless and at the mercy of poor management, so there was no point arguing. Fortunately, I found a nearby hotel, where the clerk said they regularly hear this from people booked at the residence.
