La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pearland - Houston South

We travel a lot for work, and I picked this particular hotel for its location near the jobsite. It didn't work out well. I requested one single room and one double, but was given two doubles. The price might have been affected, though I don't know whether we were charged for both doubles since I don't handle those finances as an employee. The hotel doesn't say on its website, the CLC app, or elsewhere whether it can accommodate trailers, and it isn't trailer friendly. My truck and trailer stayed in the same spot without a problem for two whole days during our four day reservation. Then staff made me move them. Apparently on Thursdays they expect a convention center's worth of people to fill the limited spaces. They told me to park in a designated fire lane that blocked a fire hydrant and access for emergency needs, saying, "We own that spot and we have people park there ALL the time with trailers." If the city towed my truck and trailer, would the hotel cover it? Probably not. I wouldn't park in a fire lane. The hotel needs to get its priorities straight and understand its customers' needs.

We felt safe, and the place was quiet enough for a comfortable stay. Everything was fine for this kind of hotel and the price, and the staff were nice and helpful. It's conveniently located near our family, so we'll keep staying here as long as the rooms stay clean and comfortable. We've already booked another stay in January, with a trip coming up in February too.

Ms Gloria at the front desk was awesome, and they upgraded my room, which was a plus. I also felt safe with my family because the property has cameras, and people we passed were nice. The location is convenient, close to lots of places. Still, we had a rough stay. The people upstairs were extremely loud for all three days, and I barely slept. The lack of sleep triggered a seizure. We complained to the front desk 15 minutes after arriving because my child had been woken up and had to get up early for a cheer competition. My spouse and I kept raising it, but it didn't seem to help. We were told the noisy guest was a police officer, which doesn't give him the right to disturb other guests. I doubt anything was actually said to him. The room was fairly clean, but there was food and staining left by previous guests, and we found pop and bugs. We stayed for the few days and left. We try not to make a big deal of things because we're not confrontational and like to keep the peace. We might stay again, but we'd definitely inspect the room first. The breakfast was nasty, though it was free, so take that as you will.

We were booked for October 3-6, 2025, and had been looking forward to the stay. At 12:30 a.m., exhausted, we found bugs in the bathtub, a strong smell in one room, and dirt in every bed. The night shift man showed us three rooms and promised a full refund on Friday night, October 3, 2025. We were there for only 10 minutes before finding the filth, but after I contacted the property, they charged us for one night anyway. After I took a picture, the man abruptly told me to stop. A week ago, the woman at the front desk said the manager would call, but I still haven't heard from them. UPDATE: One month later, management still hasn't called as promised. The charge has affected my budget so badly that I've skipped lunches this week.
