Residence Inn by Marriott Pearland

The hotel feels brand new and was so clean. I checked in without a hitch and spent my first day enjoying the outdoor pool. At the bar, Shari did a great job and even helped us get the hockey game on. I'll be back on future work trips for sure.

The hotel, rooms, and hospitality were all great, but Shari at the lobby bar really made the night. She was friendly, attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond while I cheered on my hockey team. It was such a fun evening. Shari, you're the best! I'd come back to @ResidenceInnPearland just for her hospitality.

The kitchenette was a favorite, especially the full size frig, and the hotel was clean and well stocked. The two employees I spoke with were friendly, had great personalities, and answered all my questions. They were Assistant GM Shantale Habana and Perla at the front desk.

It's a brand new property in a great location, but the staff aren't up to speed. I've stayed at many Marriott properties over the past 20 years, and this was the first time I encountered employees who hardly smiled. People I've dealt with need customer service training. Staff don't acknowledge elite membership, and the cleaners don't speak English. You can talk to them and get no response. They even knock when there's a "no service needed" sign on the door. I pay for comfort and service, and didn't feel I was getting either. I originally planned to stay 20 days, but after several poor experiences I cut it to 10.
