Best Western Plus Oak Mountain Inn

After a night of dancing at the Chris Brown concert, a hot shower and a comfortable bed with good pillows were just what I needed. Breakfast had several real meal options, too. I found the hotel through a recommendation when using my Navy Federal points, and it lived up to it. The staff were welcoming, everything was very clean, and getting to the hotel from the interstate was easy. I’d stay here again without a second thought.

The hotel was a little tricky to find at first because it sits around a U-turn, but we’d come back with our family. Cathy, the manager, and the front desk staff were so kind, and we had a nice time in the pool. Breakfast was a full spread with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and waffles. I especially appreciated that Cathy could speak Spanish and knew sign language. She helped make things easier for us while I was traveling with my special needs child.

The pool was still closed in early April, even though the weather was getting warmer, and it apparently doesn’t open until after Labor Day. That was a small disappointment beside a very good stay at the Best Western Plus Oak Mountain Inn in Pelham, Alabama. The hotel was busy, but we had a wonderfully quiet room and couldn’t hear people in the hall or neighboring floors. It was spacious and comfortable, with a bathroom that had plenty of counter space, and the elevator was quick. The lobby and room both smelled fresh and stayed clean throughout our visit. Staff were helpful at the desk, while the breakfast team kept the area tidy and stocked. We enjoyed the food and coffee each morning, and the room had the basic amenities we needed. My family and I had a great experience from beginning to end.

We made two stops at the Best Western Plus Oak Mountain Inn on our drive from Ontario to Louisiana and back, and both stays were trouble-free. The hotel was clean, welcoming, easy to reach, and had a breakfast with lots of choices. On the return trip we were towing a boat, and they let us park it in a well-lit, safe spot on the street. After checking out early, our truck developed a problem. We couldn’t get it looked at until later, and still had a 15-hour drive ahead. We explained this at the desk and asked whether we could use the room again until checkout time. The staff let us back into it even though it had already been cleaned, and gave us some extra time past checkout so we had somewhere comfortable and safe to rest while waiting for help. Their kindness and flexibility made a real difference during a stressful travel day. We’re very grateful, and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a calm, clean, caring place to stay.
