The bathroom looked unclean, with little hairs in the toilet and all over the shower, so I had to clean the toilet before using it. The coffee pot was dirty too, and the room had a strange smell. The beds were uncomfortable, and you could feel the springs. The room itself was small, and the pillows were about the size of couch throw pillows. The guy at the front was rude, and they charged my card even after I told them not to. The continental breakfast was a joke, just cereal, bananas, apples, and juice.

The woman at the front desk was kind, quick, and understanding when she cancelled my stay and gave me a refund. I was back downstairs within a minute of seeing the room. It smelled bad too, the sheets were stained, and the floor hadn’t been swept. The toilet was dirty, there was a used toilet paper roll on the holder, and what looked like mold was in the shower. The ceiling had an obvious water leak and was literally bowed inward, like it might cave in. The whole place smelled terrible as soon as I walked in. Just awful. I wouldn’t sleep here even if it were free. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Our car broke down, so we only needed somewhere to sleep. The desk staff were friendly enough, but the room smelled and the bathroom was tiny. The shower didn’t drain well, and the filthy stair carpet needs replacing, cleaning alone wouldn’t be enough. The free breakfast area was so dirty that I chose not to eat anything. There’s no elevator to the second floor. I won’t stay here again. Calling two stars a compliment feels about right.

We were passing through late and needed a place to stay, so despite the condition of the rooms, we stayed because it was late and the town was booked up. We had two rooms, and the floors were so dirty we didn’t dare walk barefoot. The walls were peeling, the bathroom was gross, and we didn’t shower. I wiped the toilet seats with Clorox wipes before using them. There was a thick layer of dust on the fixtures. The rooms smelled clean at first, but then I noticed plug-in deodorizers in each one. I took the comforters off, and they looked and smelled clean. The outside doors weren’t secure, and the keypads were broken. The place needs a thorough cleaning and an update. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I have pictures but can’t post them.

The new floors looked nice, though I don’t think they’d been swept or mopped. We bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves because it didn’t look like it had been cleaned before we arrived. We even had to remake the bed, since the covers had just been thrown over it. There was a cigarette burn hole in the sheets even though ours was a non-smoking room. The mattress was too big for the box spring. The stair carpet at the entrance was dingy, the walls were spotty and needed fresh paint, the mirrors looked like someone had wiped them with a wet rag and left them to dry, and the bathroom faucet leaked badly. The fixtures were rusty, and the toilet paper dispenser was rusty and pulling out of the wall. I’m surprised Wyndham put its name on this place. I won’t stay at another Travel lodge.
