Towneplace Suites by Marriott Pell City

Our housekeeper Koti was incredible, so respectful and careful with the details. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and we had one of the best stays ever over those few days. Thanks so much for making it such a great visit, especially this time of year. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m in town.

The room lighting was a real plus for me. It was bright where I needed it and cozy when I wanted to relax, and the bathroom was spacious, nicely equipped, and bright enough to make getting ready easier. There was plenty of room for all my luggage, and the furniture and amenities felt high quality and thoughtfully placed. Breakfast had a great mix of hot and cold choices, from hearty to light, and the dining area was spotless. The front desk team and management were consistently welcoming, professional, and ready to help. Check-in was easy, and they were there for whatever I needed. TownePlace Suites in Pell City is an absolute gem. I’ll definitely return.

I stayed because I was worried they’d charge me for the room anyway under the cancellation policy. After how my rate was handled, I couldn’t trust the employee’s assurance that I wouldn’t be charged if I went to another hotel. I had a confirmed booking at $103, but at check-in the desk employee and manager said the owner wasn’t honoring my discount. I was told I could try another hotel property that would accept the same discount, but by then I was past the cancellation deadline and would owe one night’s rate. My bill came to $273 instead of $103. That’s a huge difference, and telling me at check-in left me no time to cancel without a charge. If another Marriott accepts this discount, this property should too. If it wasn’t going to be accepted, it shouldn’t have been available to book with confirmed pricing. The employee told me the owner, (the Management), doesn’t care and can change the rate anytime, even after a lower rate is confirmed. I was also told I could book elsewhere without being charged, but I didn’t believe that after this experience. Many people use their Marriott discounts without a participating property refusing a confirmed rate at check-in. Don’t stay here unless you’re prepared for your rate to go up when you arrive. Google the owners of this property. I would never stay at any of their locations.

The rooms were new and clean, and our stay was great. We arrived from out of town around 11:30pm, and the woman at the front desk was very kind. The managers greeted my family warmly in the morning too. Thank you!
