It’s a beautiful spot right on the water, with a balcony in every room. The living room and master balconies face the water, and the location on the beach is prime. The big room is palatial, one is tiny, and the other two are roomy and normally sized. The adult beds were comfortable, though the double bunks crinkle because of the waterproof mattress cover. My mom dealt with the management company, and had nothing bad to say about them, which usually means everything was straightforward and pleasant enough. I mainly missed the toiletries a hotel might supply. I know it’s a condo, so some things are different, but a box of tissues would’ve been nice. Bring towels. We had one per person for four days, only two dish towels, and no beach towels. You’ll also need laundry detergent, paper towels, and bathroom tissue. We kept having to go into town as we realized what we needed, so plan ahead to cut down on toll bridge fees. There’s no grocery store on Pensacola Beach, so stop in Gulf Breeze first. DoorDash doesn’t deliver there either.
The place was beautiful, and I’d highly recommend it. Our unit had an elevator, which made things easier for anyone who can’t manage stairs or has trouble with them.
The beach behind the property was uncrowded, and Pensacola Beach Properties apologized and dealt with problems promptly as best they could. The location is great. Still, we were very unhappy with unit 425 at White Sands, where we stayed September 11-20, 2024. The floors were dirty and looked as if they hadn’t been mopped in months, so we bought a wet Swiffer and started cleaning. After we called, someone came to mop. The curtains had pet urine stains; when we reported them, we were told they’d have to find out what the owner was willing to do. There were also problems that should’ve been fixed before guests arrived: the garage door wouldn’t stay shut, the upstairs bathroom sink pipe leaked under the cabinet, the shower door was off its track and barely hanging on, and only hot water worked in the master shower. On the first night, we kept smelling what seemed like vomit. The next morning, we pulled back the bedding and found stains on every bed, a significant amount of urine, vomit, blood, or some combination. Management asked for photos, which we sent. They agreed the mattresses needed replacing, but said they could only change the linens and mattress pads without the owner’s approval to buy new ones. We asked them to double the pads to cover the strong smell, and that masked it for the rest of the trip. The unit was dirty and rough, and the bedding was disgusting and completely unacceptable. The mattresses need to be replaced, and the unit shouldn’t be rented until then. We received $1,000 back from the week’s total cost, along with an apology about the condition. Be cautious if you book. Bring cleaning supplies and check the mattresses. We have several photos, but couldn’t add them to the review.
Good value for the price, clean, and right on the beach!
The view is great, but the units feel dated and run down. There were cracked tile floors, a rusty balcony, and carpet stained with pet urine. At $2,500 a week, it isn’t worth it.
