We started making regular trips to Ludington after things began reopening during COVID. It’s about 8 hours from home, and a couple of breaks each year matter to me since I work in healthcare. After trying a few other hotels, we settled on this BW and have had no problems here. They’re always kind and flexible about giving us a ground floor room near the front, which helps because my husband is disabled and long walks are difficult. The staff are lovely, and the rooms have always been clean. I even bring a small travel pillow, and housekeeping works it into the bed when they make it. It’s a little thing, but I notice it. The breakfast is free and has what you need to get the day going. I’ve stayed at expensive hotels where nobody even smiled, let alone offered breakfast. I know this place allows pets, and while I’ve never noticed a pet smell, I understand it could happen when booking a pet friendly hotel. To the owner, please keep things as they are and let your team know they’re doing a great job. Thanks for always making us feel welcome.

We were in Ludington for a snowy hockey tournament weekend with a group of teenage boys, and the staff were especially patient and welcoming to all our families. The place was great for the price, too. We just got home, and I couldn’t be happier with the stay. We’d absolutely come back. 10/10.

The price was hard to justify, $255 for a standard room booked ahead. The pool area looked nice, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. In our first room there was a strong chemical smell, possibly from an ozone generator, so we asked to move. The staff helped, and the next room was less bad, but the air fresheners in every room made it seem like they were covering some kind of odor. The hotel was nice enough otherwise, but I took off a star for the smell and another for the value.

The breakfast was great, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and accommodating. The pillows, though, were awful, the lowest quality I’ve ever come across. They seemed impossible to fluff up. I’d stay here again, but I’m bringing my own pillows.

After 44 years of staying in Ludington, this is the best hotel I’ve found for the price, both for amenities and service. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is included, and the staff are friendly. My elderly parents were glad there was an elevator, while I made use of the fitness room and spa to get a little escape from them now and then.
