Days Inn Perryville

The staff are what made this stay for me. Hum, Tiffany, and the woman working at night were all pleasant, helpful, and nice. There were two problems in our room, the tub drained very slowly and the bathroom door was broken. I told them, and they fixed both right away. Our room was clean and smelled good. For the rate, I think it's a nice place, as long as you remember it's a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star one. It's okay, and definitely not the best or the worst.

The desk clerk was the bright spot, friendly and as helpful as he could be. The rest of the place has seen better days. Paint was peeling in spots, there were bare patches in the carpet, and the shower grout had mildew. The TV cable didn't work, and the mattress was so cheap and hard that I couldn't get comfortable.

We woke up to stink bugs, and the property had trash lying around outside. The advertised continental breakfast was just a paper bag with a Juicy Juice and a granola bar, if that counts. The coffee wasn't worth trying. Paint was falling from the ceiling, and one night we couldn't get through the door because the lock batteries had died. This was one of the worst hotel stays my wife and I have had.

We only stayed because it was too late to switch hotels, but this room felt incredibly dirty and unsafe. Half the outlets were missing covers, with wires hanging out, and the non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The sheets had burn holes. Breakfast was supposedly a brown paper bag with a Capri-Sun and a pastry bar. Service was slow and unfriendly, and outside was overgrown with weeds and littered with trash. You'd be better off sleeping in your car. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.
