The person who checked us in wasn't friendly. The reservation was in my brother's name, and he's a diamond member, but he wasn't traveling with us. She acted as though helping us was a big imposition. Thankfully, the rest of the staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean, and the continental breakfast was excellent.

After a long day driving across the country, we were glad we booked this place through the app and could use a digital key to get straight to our room. The very friendly staff even came by with a welcome gift for our dog, and they were attentive throughout the property. It's also handy to have so many places to restock nearby, like Walmart, Home Depot, and Jersey Mikes. Heading west from the east, this was the last pet friendly hotel we could stay at until Davenport.

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The location is handy, just off several highways, with plenty of chain restaurants and shops a two-minute drive away. Some are close enough to walk to.

We were impressed by breakfast. It had the usual hot and cold foods and waffle bar, but also little extras like s'mores waffle batter, mini Belgian and regular waffle makers, chocolate and caramel syrup, whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate chips, more juice flavors, different coffee strengths, and a range of teas. Staff were friendly, and there's a water refill station by the lobby bathrooms. Our recently renovated two-queen suite had a double sofa bed and was convenient for Starved Rock State Park, about 17 minutes away, with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was bright, modern, and huge, almost too bare, since it could have used another chair or bench. Everything was clean, though the floor grout was dirty, a minor issue I handled with slippers. The beds were comfortable, and the sofa bed was very soft but still sleepable. The TV was small but worked, and the room felt dark even with all the lamps on. Shower pressure was fine. We'd stay again.
