Pescadero Creek Inn

We had a pleasant stay and will be back. Before dawn, we checked the red frig and found the carrot 🥕 juice I’d requested early because we had to leave at crack o dawn. I enjoyed a good chat with proprietor Ken, and was impressed by hid rebuild of the 1891 home. We also sat in the parlor and talked with another guest.

We stayed two nights in the Spring room in Sept 2025. It was quiet and very comfortable, and the coffee and snacks were good and served on time. The Inn is an easy walk from downtown. We’ll stay here again next time we pass through Pescadero.

We loved being near the spectacular beaches, about a 15 minute drive away. The owner was pleasant and accommodating. The rooms could use a few fixes, especially curtains that block more light, and the morning coffee wasn't good. Still, we had a very nice visit.

The only real plus was the location, close to town and beside a nice little creek. We stayed in the Garden Cottage, and having our own separate unit was nice. The rest was extremely disappointing. Things were old and falling apart, and there was dirt on the table. The glass for the morning juice had a layer of dark residue at the bottom. I only noticed after pouring juice into it and almost drinking it. There wasn't a comfortable spot to sit with a desk or table. We never met the owners. Their welcome letter said they avoid contact because of Covid, but it was Winter 2024 and that no longer seemed like a reason. People with health concerns could still wear masks. The place had no feeling of hospitality. Most reviews were high, but the lack of reviews for months should have been a red flag. I would never stay here again, and would advise others to avoid it until the owners take cleanliness, functionality, and hospitality more seriously.
