Hampton Inn by Hilton Petersburg Fort Lee

The breakfast was disappointing. There were no eggs at first, and when they arrived, they weren’t hot. The potatoes and sausage were lukewarm, and our table was sticky with syrup. None of the breakfast food was served hot. I also reported at checkout that the sink’s hot water came out as just a trickle, and one elevator was out of service during our stay. The rest of the visit went well. We got an early check-in and chose our room in the Hiltons Honors app. Two friendly, helpful receptionists made arrival pleasant, and warm cookies were offered at check-in. The property seemed new or recently renovated, and our room was nearly perfect apart from the sink. It was quiet overnight, the queen beds were comfortable with four pillows each, and the bathroom had a sliding door and handy night light. There was plenty of free parking, and the hotel is close to I-95.

We heard a dog barking when we woke up, but I’d stay here again. It’s pet friendly, which I hadn’t known when I booked, and it’s a great location for visiting Fort Lee military base. Breakfast wasn’t bad.

I needed a good night’s rest close to 95, and this Hampton Inn was just right. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it stayed quiet overnight. The friendly service stood out.

The best part of my stay was the staff, especially Tara at the front desk. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed, and everyone had a smile. The hotel was clean and felt safe, with a nice outdoor seating area and great Wi-Fi outside. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. I’ll be back.
