Wildwood Lodge

The country decor runs throughout the hotel, and we loved having a lounge with a fireplace, outdoor seating, and a place to relax with family. It’s pet friendly, yet so clean you’d never know pets had been there. The pool towels are set out neatly, with extras tucked into a cute little boat decoration, and the showers have large dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Rooms had everything we needed, and the location was convenient. There’s an indoor pool and jacuzzi, too. The staff really make this place. Everyone was welcoming, from the front desk to breakfast service to the room cleaners. At one point breakfast had spoons but no forks. I sat down, got up to grab a napkin, and the forks had already appeared. They’re that quick. Fruit, coffee, and ice cold water stay available through the day, and unused items are kept in the fridge, which isn’t locked like at some hotels. It’s very family friendly and I can’t think of a thing this hotel is missing. We’re only two hours away, so this will be our go to for family time. I can’t wait to come back with my adult children and grandchildren and make more memories together. I wish I could give it more than five stars.
