FRONTDESK The Glenwood Apts Brewerytown Philadelphia

I've been a resident for nearly two years, and from a cleanliness standpoint, this apartment is literally the most disgusting I've experienced. On an average day, housing projects are cleaner than the Glenwood. Management is typically dismissive and seems to want to do as little as possible, which I understand is common with profit-driven apartment companies. But they have a cleaning crew, or at least I see them sometimes, and mopping occasionally. It's hard to tell if they don't really clean, lack proper oversight, or just don't clean often enough. The lobby has mail strewn across the entrance table, and the trash can is always full. The doors are constantly dirty and grimy, and when they're mopped it's as though they use the dirt already there as the cleaning solution. The elevator is a stinky nightmare. I feel like I need to stay in one corner because all kinds of fluid and black globs of stuff litter the floor. Half the time, the walls look smeared with cooking grease. The carpets are so dirty they're discolored. I hear a vacuum now and then, but I've seen particles in my hallway both before and after vacuuming. The mail room looks like a home invasion, and again, the floors never get mopped. The apartment feels like a slum, and it really shouldn't. I'd rather they lower our rent and stop cleaning altogether than pretend to clean by smearing dirt around the complex. I think the main issue is that property management isn't holding janitorial services accountable. This definitely doesn't feel like Brewerytown. This is my review for now. If things change, I can change it.
