Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue

We couldn't get a full refund because we'd booked through hotels.com, so we ended up switching rooms. The new room had a sink and shower that wouldn't drain. Before that, we'd woken up to realize the first room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, just had its bed made. There were coffee and food stains, and my daughter found someone else's hair in the bed. It was disgusting, and being told they couldn't refund us after we'd slept in a dirty room was terrible. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. Never again. Save your money.

We booked a block of rooms for three nights. Cleaning wasn't good to start with, and even when we asked, they wouldn't clean, replace towels, or collect the garbage. We were also hassled in the lobby and bar area for quietly meeting with family, because they didn't want us there. This is the worst review I've ever given anything.

I've stayed at Hilton Philadelphia City Center many times because it's central to everything I need. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the customer service is amazing. Shanise Cruger and Mr. Winston at the front desk helped me with a situation and were informative and compassionate. They're amazing employees. Parking is the reason I gave four stars. It's now $25 plus tax to park down the street in a large lot that isn't being used. Street parking is limited, and snow makes it even harder. My pickup truck is very long and large, so finding a space it fits in without risking it getting hit is impossible. I didn't used to have to pay; my parking ticket was validated and the fee was covered. Now it isn't. Management should consider removing the fee. It's an extra cost for guests that could be changed, and it'll definitely affect whether I stay here again.
