Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area

We'd left our car parked out back for a week, and after getting home really late, stayed at the hotel for the night. At 1:30 AM I was exhausted and barely coherent, but our airport pickup was immediate and check-in was quick and efficient. The room looked brand new and was extremely clean. In the morning there was a complimentary breakfast buffet with lots of good choices, including fresh blueberries and strawberries, which I was excited to see. Front desk staff were excellent at checkout too. Thank you for a great night when we were weary and tired!

The staff were nice and attentive, but the stay wasn't great. The property feels old, breakfast isn't worth the cost, and our room had a funky smell, especially in the bathroom after a shower. The doors were hard to close and slammed loudly, and the TV struggled. The workout room had decent equipment, but its water machine didn't work and there was no sanitizer. The bathroom there had no soap either.

The front desk team, especially Ashley and Riya, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure my guests and I were comfortable and taken care of. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was very good. I had a wonderful stay.

We came for a hockey tournament, even though the rinks were about 45 minutes away and there were closer hotels. Trying to check in was awful. We showed up at 3pm and were told the rooms weren't ready, which I understood since check-in is at 4pm. At 3:55 I went to the front desk with a question and asked how much longer; they said at least 15 minutes. With lots of people arriving, the guy in charge saw I was frustrated and checked me in closer to 4:30. The city view room was nice, but at night it took almost 20 minutes to get an elevator up to the 10th floor. The shower pressure was really bad too. I'll never stay here again.
