Philly Inn & Suites Hotel

The front desk guy was really nice, and the location would bring me back. The stay was okay overall. Only one elevator worked, and the parking garage was strange, the kind of setup you have to see to understand. There was one ice machine in the lobby and no vending machine. Room service wasn’t offered unless you asked, and there were no door hangers.

I’m reposting this because it looks like the original didn’t appear or was removed. Don’t stay here. I paid almost $400 for three days and two nights, and the place was a disgusting dump. One lamp didn’t even have a bulb, the comforter had burn holes, and the desk chairs were so gross we wouldn’t sit on them or put anything on them. The room door was badly crooked with a big gap underneath. The hotel looks nothing like its online photos.

I went downstairs to pick up an order, and someone kindly let my kids back in after they got briefly locked out. They’re all under six, and two have special needs, so the staff’s help and friendliness made this a really good family stay. I’d definitely come back for a quick trip with kids.

The rooms were clean, and the beds worked if you like a firm mattress. I also appreciated that they had mattress covers. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, too. But getting into the property was a hassle. There are only a few spaces out front, and to enter the garage you have to press a keypad button and give your room number. We buzzed several times with no answer, then had to ask someone going in to let us through. Shouting your room number in a busy area didn’t feel safe. The garage has three one-way levels with about eight spaces each, so finding a spot can mean tight turns and a long walk back up to the lobby, especially from the bottom level. There’s no other entrance, and the pictured courtyard can only be reached through the garage. Our night was very cold because the heater/AC plug didn’t fit the only outlet within reach, and the cable looked fried anyway. We didn’t try the shower in the morning because the room was so cold.
