The storage lockers were easy to use, so even with a late evening flight we could enjoy a full day in the city, then come back for our bags. Getting around was simple too: the train is just a block away, and there’s a 7/11 nearby for quick things, along with plenty of good options close by. The location was great, and the comfortable, convenient setup made the trip smooth. Having a full fridge, washer and dryer, and easy-to-access amenities helped a lot. A few small fixes would have improved the stay. The tub and sink were very clean, but the bathroom tile and grout were quite dirty. There were scuffs on the wall that could have been cleaned between guests, the blind cord kept coming undone, and the one time we tried the TV, it struggled to stay connected to the internet and wasn’t easy to use. These are minor critiques, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here. I’d do it again.

The building was modern-looking and well maintained, and I had a great stay at Sonder the Sloan. My studio was a comfortable size and very clean, with a king-size bed, kitchen, and washer and dryer in the unit. The essentials closet was handy for replenishing towels and supplies. There’s a gym in the building, which I used once. The location worked well too, with a couple of food options and an Acme about a three-minute walk away. No complaints from me, it was a 10/10 experience.

Street parking right out front was a big help since we were coming and going over our three days. I was also surprised by how useful the laundry was, and getting a load done made things easier. This was my first short-term rental, and I was really impressed with the setup. There were so many utensils and other kitchen items that we could have brought more food and prepared even better. I’d recommend it.

It’s easy to reach the metro station, and there are lots of good restaurants around. The room was safe, spacious, and clean, even cleaner than brand-name hotels, with all the kitchen essentials I needed to cook. We loved staying there. I liked it so much that I immediately booked two more trips with Sonder.

I like Sonder as a brand and have had decent customer service through the app, but this location disappointed me compared with the other one I’d stayed at. Sonder can be a good, reasonably priced option for both short and long stays. If you’re choosing between Philadelphia locations, though, I’d pick Sonder at Sixteen Hundred over this one. The apartment had plenty of scuffs on the walls and cracks around the molding, which made it feel old and dirty. The walls are thin: we could hear people upstairs stomping and people talking in the hall. The air conditioner and pipes were loud, and parking is only on the street, which could be hard to find. The shower curtain was either too short or installed too high, so water ran out and flooded the bathroom floor. I had to ask for extra towels to mop it up. They brought them the next day, and for the rest of our stay I angled the shower head toward the wall. The conditioner and shower gel pumps were stuck no matter how much we twisted, pushed, or pulled them. We ended up unscrewing the lids and pouring the products out. The neighbors were also loud: they had a party Friday night, and we could hear music and talking until at least midnight.
