AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Downtown

Every day of my stay was a positive experience, and I didn’t run into a single issue. The front desk team were amazing, as was Matthias at breakfast. They made me feel valued and showed that they understand guests have a choice of hotels and picked this one. I can’t think of anything the hotel could have done to improve the service, location, or staff.

The hotel was nice, the rooms were good, breakfast was enjoyable, and the staff were great. We had a couple of frustrating moments, though. Housekeeping threw out a water bottle I kept with our things for supplements. When I asked about it, I was just told it was gone. I was disappointed they’d tossed it, and even more disappointed that nobody seemed to care, asked about it, or offered a replacement. My wife also had to call three times to get toilet paper because the room had none. We did enjoy our stay otherwise, and I think my group plans to return next year.

There’s lots of room to relax in the lobby, with plenty of couches and seats, and the outdoor patio with a fireplace is beautiful. The hotel feels modern, clean, peaceful, and laid back, with very nice staff. Citrus water and lavender sachets for the bed in the lobby were a nice touch. It’s well located, with an easy walk to AC shops. The bar is quiet. This is a place to unwind, not somewhere to go to be seen.

This is our regular Phoenix hotel. The front desk service is always excellent, and the place is clean, modern, and quiet, right in the heart of downtown. It costs a fraction of the nearby Sheraton and Hyatt, though it doesn’t offer their resort amenities. The look is minimalist European.
