Baymont by Wyndham Phoenix I-10 near 51st Ave

JoAnn was very friendly and really tried to make things more comfortable, and the room itself was very clean. But the noise made it hard to sleep. The hotel is right beside I-10, and the traffic sounds like it’s just outside the window all night. The walls are thin enough that we could clearly hear the neighbors, including snoring and a mother calming a crying baby. We were in an accessible room, but the bathroom had nowhere to set toiletries. We had to put our cosmetic bag on the toilet tank, which was a hassle. The soundproofing and bathroom setup both need attention. Thanks to JoAnn for the kind service.

Traffic from the freeway right outside the window was extremely loud and went on all night. The hotel is also very far from the airport, especially in rush hour. The room had a horrible purple tint on the TV screen, as shown in the photo. The bathtub had no nonslip surface or shower mat, and the bathroom floor was slick, which felt very unsafe. There was a long black hair in the tub. No bar soap was provided, just tiny tubes of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There wasn’t a closet, only a small wall rack with a few hangers. The phone didn’t work, and there were very few outlets. Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve been to.

We had a nice stay and would come back. The room was clean and had plenty of space for two, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was included and good. An elevator would be nice, but taking the stairs gave me an extra workout, so I’m not really complaining.

The room was great, but Bertha at the front desk is what made the stay so enjoyable. She was the nicest and most helpful employee. Thanks so much, Bertha, for all you do. She’s fantastic.
