I couldn’t tell if I’d found the right place because there was no sign. While I was in the parking lot, lots of sketchy characters were wandering around. There was nobody at the front desk at first, and when I finally spotted someone and tried to check in, I was told the person who handles check-in wasn’t there. I looked through Choice hotels and Google maps reviews while deciding what to do, and was shocked by mentions of bed bugs and cockroaches. The photos and comments in the reviews seemed like physical evidence, so I found somewhere else to stay. I definitely don’t recommend it. I also tried calling a manager the next day, but the phone was always busy.

The rooms have improved a lot over the eight years we’ve been staying here. There’s been plenty of remodeling, and it’s much quieter and cleaner now, with less traffic and illegal activity. They do still need an experienced painter. I’ve been trying to reach the owner because we have over 25 years of experience in painting, plumbing, maintenance, and management. We offered to paint and handle maintenance in exchange for one night’s stay in one room.

The staff treat me and my partner well, and they’re trying to improve the place despite the hit-or-miss issues people mention. Low-end hotels often have drama, but usually things are fine if you stay inside and mind your own business. They don’t offer breakfast, even though Google says they do, and adding it would really improve the place. The pool isn’t available right now, and it doesn’t cut it on its own anyway. A playground for kids or something like arcade games or a pool table would be better. I could help with anything, just ask. You already know who I am. All in all, this place can turn things around completely.

Nothing about the room was comfortable. The beds were awful and felt like you’d sink right down into them. The shower wouldn’t get cold, and I burned myself trying to use it. The sink sprayed water everywhere when I tried to wash my face in the morning. The remodel was a complete disaster, and the air conditioner made a crazy noise that kept us awake. The TV wouldn’t connect to the internet, so I had to use my hotspot to watch a movie. They wanted a $50 deposit, which I got around by telling them I’m in the military. My brother rented a room here the same night, and his was a complete disaster too. At first I thought we’d just been unlucky with two rooms, but I talked to the neighbors and a couple of other people, and they all had stories of their own. The pool didn’t look clean or sanitized either. The whole place was a joke. For another 20 bucks, you could stay somewhere luxurious. I don’t usually leave reviews.
