Hampton Inn and Suites Chandler/Fashion Center

The employees were gracious, parking was easy, and the pool was pristine and mostly empty. Our room was spotless, and breakfast was pretty good. We had a truly amazing stay at this Hampton Inn Phx/Chandler, 4.8 stars from me!

I'm a Hilton Honors member and Hampton Inn is usually my go-to, so I was very disappointed here. The staff were courteous and responsive, but the suite was musty. There were plenty of towels, though they were coarse, and the mattress springs felt shot. It needs replacing. Breakfast was standard fare. I wanted to share feedback at checkout, but there was no staff member around. This hotel needs a visit from a regional Hampton Inn manager. I'd pass on this one.

The room was decent, the bed was comfortable, and the location was somewhat convenient for where I needed to be. Everything else made me regret staying. The hotel is under renovation, and the night front desk clerk wasn't friendly. The shower water was lukewarm at best. The first night I let it go, figuring I'd arrived late and maybe they'd been doing laundry or had a lot of people using hot water. By the second day I was really annoyed, and on the third night I showered earlier but the water was still barely above body temperature. They need to repair or replace things and turn up the water temperature instead of focusing on beautifying the place. There's no way the bedding is getting clean with water that cold. I absolutely don't recommend staying here.

The second room was better, with a proper blackout curtain and an empty fridge, but then I found the body wash dispenser empty and missing from the wall. Two of the three towels had bad stains, so I called the desk. This time someone answered quickly and brought up a full bottle of body wash and clean towels. I arrived on 1.19.2026 thinking I’d booked a different, top-of-the-line location. I’d stayed here for a week in late 2025 and it hadn’t been too bad, but this visit was the worst. Before checking in, I picked up food and brought it upstairs. When I went to put the leftovers away, I found someone else’s food in the fridge. Then I noticed there was no blackout curtain, just a see-through one. I called the front desk, got no answer after it rang and rang, and hung up. They called me back shortly afterward and moved me to the room across the hall. I travel a lot for work, and I won’t stay here again when I’m back in the area. I’m a gold rewards member, and there was no offer of compensation for the inconvenience or the housekeeping lack of care and attention to detail. I don’t know if that was the issue, but either way, I wouldn’t come back.
