Hampton Inn Phoenix-Biltmore

The only snag for me was how far it was from work. I was in town on business and hadn’t booked the room myself, so that may not matter to you. I’d happily stay here again. The room was beautiful, the staff friendly, and breakfast was included. There was also a nice-sized pool and some snacks in the lobby.

We missed a night because of flight problems, but as soon as we arrived, the front desk staff made the trip feel much better. I’m sorry I don’t remember their name. They were so welcoming and understanding, and got us checked in quickly so we could rest. Breakfast was great, and the room was clean with no issues. It isn’t a five-star hotel, but it met our expectations. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The staff were AMAZING, and the maids were really sweet. The night guy was a little odd but nice. He even showed me how to use the coffee maker without making me feel like a dork, which was sweet. We stayed for 12 days while my husband was in the hospital in midtown, and I’ll stay here EVERY time we need to go to Barrows. The area felt very safe and parking was great. Our room was awesome, and the rates are top notch. It’s cheaper to stay here and rent a car or get an Uber to midtown than to stay at the midtown hampton. Breakfast was kind of okay but also kind of gross. Other Hamptons actually brown the sausage instead of microwaving it. A few nights the basement level reeked of pot coming from the staff lounge, the hallways smelled kind of weird, and the hot water took a while.

The room was roomy and up to date, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The hotel itself was clean too. My issues were with the fitness room, where several machines wouldn’t track distance or change resistance properly, and with the coffee. We stayed two nights and housekeeping didn’t come after the first, so we ran out of coffee in the room. Then there wasn’t any at breakfast the next morning either, supposedly because of “unforeseen circumstances.” How does a hotel run out of coffee? Some timely maintenance would also help the gym.
