We barely slept before our flight. At a reasonable bedtime, a woman started shouting, “I know you are in there, come out.” The hotel is by an open road, so we didn’t know who might be yelling and didn’t answer. She came back about every 15 minutes, banging and shouting incoherently. Around 1 a.m., three armed police officers knocked. We opened the door, answered their questions, and they left, saying we shouldn’t be bothered again. The woman returned once more. At checkout, we found out it was the night manager who had been yelling, knocking, and called the police. She never knocked respectfully to ask who we were or why we were in the room. The night had already started badly. We’d prepaid, but check-in took two hours because someone entered the wrong amount in the system. The day manager eventually fixed it and assigned us a room. We weren’t the only guests with an issue, and it was related to Expedia. The first room hadn’t been cleaned, the bed wasn’t made, so we were moved next door. That room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of smoke. Someone sprayed it, without making any difference. There was no soap, and it still wasn’t great for cleanliness or condition. Never again.

The whole room felt neglected: stained sheets, grime on the walls and floor, and a bad smell. There was even an old, dried bloody booger wiped on the headboard. The floor was uneven and coming apart. I've camped in cleaner places, and this was easily the worst hotel I've stayed in. Hidden fees turned the $99 rate into $140 a night. I'd take a park bench over coming back here.

Room 203 was perfectly fine, with no problems. The staff really made the stay, though. The gentleman at check-in was attentive and helped me through the process, and the morning desk attendant went out of his way to help me find an Uber to Walmart so I could get a SIM and get my phone working after arriving from abroad. I sincerely appreciate the great service and stay 🫡

We had nowhere else to go that late at night, so we ended up staying in a room that felt unacceptable for what we paid. The first one was visibly dirty, smelled strongly of smoke despite being non-smoking, and had hair in the tub; the towels and bedding didn't seem fresh either. I asked to switch, but the next room was just as dirty. When I raised it at the desk again, the staff member refused to move us or offer a reasonable fix. I rarely post negative reviews, but this was extremely disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
