Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix Cityscape by IHG

Being able to walk to Wren & Wolf, Latha, and several museums made the location a great fit for us. Back at the hotel, the room was clean, nicely presented, and furnished in a way that was both practical and attractive without being overdone. It was also very quiet at night, and the comfortable mattress and bedding made it easy to sleep. We arrived around 5pm and the staff greeted us promptly. Alfonso hosted the complimentary happy hour and made settling in feel easy. During the day, the hotel had an energetic but grown-up feel, with a low social buzz around Blue Hound restaurant. Our package came with breakfast vouchers for Blue Hound each day, and we were always pleased with both the food and service. Housekeeping was top shelf, and requests were handled quickly. We had a great experience at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar and would keep it on our short list for another visit. I highly recommend the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, as I’ve come to expect from Kimpton. What really stood out, though, was how the hotel staff handled things. On Saturday night there was a hiccup at the bar, and Sayan took care of it professionally and right away. Earlier, after my Friday drive from Las Vegas, Dylan at the front desk got me checked in at noon. There were no suite upgrades available, he explained, but he offered a King Premium and had me in the room immediately. As a solo traveler who’d just finished that drive, being able to get in and crash was everything. He also filled me in on what had changed since my last stay, especially the breakfast situation, which turned out to matter. The next morning, after a rough breakfast experience, I mentioned it at the desk. Donna, the front-end manager, listened because she wanted to understand what had happened and make it right, without getting defensive. That kind of accountability is rare. I wanted to review the Kimpton separately from the Blue Hound and the Eden because the hotel itself deserves the credit. Dylan, Donna, and Sayan are hospitality professionals who care, and it shows. The hotel earns every star.

Dylan made check-in easy with a warm welcome, and he took time to explain the benefits I’d received through Amex Platinum. During the stay he checked that I was comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised with a mid-stay upgrade to a suite. The room was clean, well kept, and comfortable, and the attached restaurant was great too. I had a great stay at Hotel Palomar Phoenix and would recommend it. Danny gave me a warm welcome from the moment I arrived and went out of his way to make sure everything was sorted. His professionalism, work ethic, and upbeat attitude made a real difference to my Arizona trip. Employees like him are a big asset, and I really appreciate the service he provided.
