The neighborhood is really rough. A lot of people around are homeless and addicted, but most won’t bother you unless you engage with them. I remember when this used to be a nice place when I was a little girl. The manager is great, lives on site, and doesn’t tolerate clients or any funny business. There’s a nude dance club behind the hotel, and they keep to themselves. I hear the bar and grill is tasty. There are lots of security cameras, and Phoenix Police patrol often. You may see them parked down the street watching the parking lot. The pool is kept clean and locked. Rooms are hit and miss, and my experience with them hasn’t been good. That’s no reflection on the poor housekeeper, but I’ve often seen dead insects around the bathrooms. Homeless people sometimes stay overnight and bring pests with them. I don’t think there’s a refrigerator, though there is an ice machine. The linens are clean, but most of the furniture is broken or malfunctioning. Smoking rooms are available. You can get a hot shower, and despite the issues, you can get a good night’s sleep. The room air conditioners are ice cold.

I booked online based on how the place looked on the website, and I won’t stay here again. The room wasn’t clean when I checked in, and the bed was so used it made squeaky sounds. The AC unit was out of place enough that you could see outside into the parking lot. There was a cable but no TV. The bathroom had mold, there were hookers hanging around, and the door to the room next to mine had been kicked in, by police or someone, and left open. Don’t believe anything on their website, it’s false advertising. :(

The toilet was clogged with feces when I arrived, none of the plugs worked, and the fridge was broken. Maintenance or room service wouldn’t handle anything while the room was occupied. Even the remote batteries were missing. $80 for this room? Don’t waste your money. You’d be better off sleeping in a car.

There was that story about Dmac, the dead rapper found in the bushes. If you like living the fast life, this place might suit you. And if you’re sick and need help finding crap, I’m sure it’s for you too. Don’t bring kids, even though under 17s stay free. Meh. Bedbugs being commonly associated with your property is sad and unsafe. I’d suggest a major overhaul.

There were no lights except in the bathroom. The TV had no power cable, and Wi-Fi only worked right by the office. The place was leaky and dirty. Definitely not worth the time.
