I got in around 12:30 a.m. and saw groups of people lingering on bicycles around the property as I drove through the parking lot. It didn't look like normal guest activity and immediately made me worry about safety. Inside, the lobby floor was filthy, and the rugs were frayed, stained, and dirty. Walking to the room, I saw old food, trash, and what looked like urine all over the sidewalks. I couldn't make myself step into the elevator because its floor looked like an uncleaned public restroom. The room's smell was overwhelming. I was trying not to breathe. The couch looked worn, stained, and unsanitary, like it had come from a condemned building. I have photos. In the bathroom, the white shower curtain had yellow stains all over it. I got a black light from my car, and it showed extensive biological contamination. That was enough. The room felt unsafe and unsanitary, so I slept in my car instead. The online ratings are completely misleading. This property has effectively become a homeless encampment, with no visible control over who is there, no meaningful cleaning, and no regard for guest safety or health. It shouldn't be taking guests. Save your money, protect your health, and stay anywhere else.

I've stayed here several times. The setup had promise, but the upkeep needed care. Things have changed since Steve came in as the new General Manager. He quickly got needed repairs done, and the place feels like a family spot now, with families laughing and enjoying the amenities through the day. It used to live up to the nickname “New Jack City.” Steve, Assistant Manager April, and staff members Shevin and Coralia (miss you!) care about the place and give great customer service. The former Head of Housekeeping, Veronica, was incompetent and a vulture, and I'm glad she's gone. The apartment-style rooms are extremely affordable, it's close to the airport and on the bus line, with lots of places to eat within walking distance and a QT across the street. I know this sounds like an ad, but it's the honest truth. There's still work to do, though the change is like night and day. Thank you all for being awesome.

Harvey at the front desk made our stay better. He was amazing, friendly, and professional, and explained everything in detail. He was really helpful and made sure we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Thank you, Harvey!

The stairwell incident was what finally made me leave early, even though it meant losing money and the vacation I’d saved six months for. A man stood there for three nights, then jumped out at me and my daughter as we reached the elevator. The elevator was broken, and they’d put us on the third floor. The room had mold and wasn’t cleaned or checked during our five-night stay. Nobody changed the towels either. When I asked for one so I could shower, the cleaning woman had taken them from outside my door. I’d just put my toddler down and said I’d bring it back, but the man at the desk yelled that this was how it worked. I hadn’t been told about a towel policy at check-in. I told him I was about to have a panic attack and asked him to stop, but he got louder. I ran back to the room crying and had to dry off with dirty clothes. The door slams every time it closes. I smashed my foot trying to keep it open before going to the office. With three disabled children and no one to watch them, I had the panic attack in the room instead of calling 911 for an ambulance. The night staff treated us terribly. I brought my children to visit family, and their rude, lazy treatment ruined the trip. Absolute trauma.

They refunded me right away when I asked, which is the only reason I’m giving the place any credit. The manager didn’t help with that. We stayed one of our two nights because it was very late, we were tired, and there were no other rooms left. The bathroom ceiling had mold, and there was a moldy smell throughout the room. Even though it was listed as non-smoking, it smelled like someone had smoked there, and there was ash on the bedside table. Stains and some unidentifiable sticky stuff were all over the room. At about 1:30 a.m. I spotted mushrooms coming out from under the wallpaper while using the bathroom. By morning they’d grown another inch or two. I took pictures. This place is filthy and not fit for anyone to stay in, at any price.
