The drinks and food were better than we expected, though the prices were about what you’d expect in Scottsdale. We stayed in the Villas, where I’d been before for work, but this was the first quick getaway my wife and I took there. The outdoor TV was great for watching the Denver-New England game, then seeing our Seahawks get it done.

I love walking over to the pools at the Westin, which is why we stay here. We had a one-bedroom suite overlooking the pool, with a really nice balcony and a great view from the bedroom. The other room, though, didn’t have a window.

The food was nice, but it felt overpriced. We spent one day at the resort and the rest of our vacation at the villas. It was a wonderful trip with our three-year-old and five-month-old, and the little one loved the putting green.

I’ve tried a few Scottsdale resorts, and this one is my favorite so far. It’s beautiful, the golf course is lovely, the service was excellent, and the room was comfortable.

The villas are roomy and beautiful, and the shuttle service is handy. It’s also convenient for getting to shops, restaurants, and entertainment, which makes the Westin Kierland one of my favorite vacation clubs.
