Days Inn by Wyndham Picayune

I just wanted a decent night's sleep before an event the next morning, but this was awful. There wasn't even a decent breakfast. A white couple was able to get a non-smoking room with one bed, and I saw plenty of other vacant rooms too. I feel like I wasn't offered the same choice because I'm Black. That felt very unfair, and my booking couldn't be refunded. I'd reserved a non-smoking room with one bed, but at check-in they said none were available and put me in a smoking room. It was filthy, with roaches, a cigarette butt left in the shower, and a used towel hanging on the rack. When I raised it at the desk, they said there was nothing they could do and refused to move me to a cleaner room. The towels had stains and hair, there was hair on the shower walls, and a roach fell out of the refrigerator when I opened it. Later, when I got up to use the bathroom, there was a whole family of roaches waiting. There was also a half-burned incense stick behind the door. The TV remote only changed channels, so I had to get up to turn the set on and off and adjust the volume. Save your money and don't stay here.

After driving 15 hours, I checked the room before bringing my things in, and it was horrible. The chairs were stained, the carpet rippled, there was white stuff on the floor, and the desk was broken. The office lady showed me another room, but it looked the same. She said it had just been cleaned. They should be embarrassed. It looked like people were living there. This place is gross and should be shut down. I'm surprised it's part of Wyndham. I gave it one star only because I had to in order to post this.

We'd already traveled 12 hours, then the neighbors next door were making a racket at 3 am. The phone in our room didn't work when I tried calling the front desk, and the number I found on Google went unanswered too. The customer service was the worst I've experienced. I'm so disappointed in Wyndham, and we won't stay here again.

Disgusting place. We stay at Wyndham motels, but this one reeked of cigarettes and pot. The floor hadn't been vacuumed, the walls were dirty, and the microwave looked as if it had been dropped.
