Knights Inn Pico Rivera

I only stayed because I needed somewhere to leave my truck. The bed was the hardest I’ve ever tried to sleep on, and the bathroom was filthy and falling apart. There were pencil doodles all over the front door, too. I’ve never stayed anywhere this bad, and I’ve never written a hotel review before. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

I wish you all the best, and hope you come to Texas. I used to love coming here over the 20 years I knew the place, but this was my first stay since Jan 2019. The lounge and restaurant are closed, and the pools and fish pond have been drained. Those were what made it special, and it’s sad to see how much the place has gone downhill. It seems like they don’t care anymore, though it wouldn’t take much to make it wonderful again. The manager said California politics and taxes are destroying them. You guys have always been great.

I’ve stayed here several times and have generally had a good experience. Truck drivers get a discounted rate, and the rooms have a Jacuzzi. My main disappointment is that the pool has been closed for a while. If it opens again, I’ll reconsider my rating and give five stars.

There’s ample parking for large vehicles, and the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping centers. My room had a refrigerator, though it didn’t have a freezer, and there was no microwave. The TV worked, but it was too small and too low to watch comfortably from bed. The toilet seat and sink were stained and discolored. At check-in on 8/5/2019, the desk clerk said they could unlock the pool for me. When I asked about using it on my second night, 8/6/2019, another clerk said there was a problem with homeless people. I don’t think that should keep hotel guests from using the amenities at this knights inn location. I hope the owner or manager makes some improvements.
