Pico Rivera Inn and Suites

The night attendant was VERY RUDE and didn’t care about our complaints. He just waved his hand to dismiss us. My wife and I were disgusted by how gross the restroom was, though the picture doesn’t show it properly because I’d already cleaned some of it before taking the video. We still thought we should post the video and picture before cleaning the rest. We should get a % off for doing the hotel staff’s job. It didn’t take much, just some bleach and elbow grease. The blankets smelled like smoke too.

Other than the toilet problem, the stay was decent, but the service and plumbing could definitely be better. I stayed two nights, Christmas night through Saturday, and had to plunge the toilet twice a day. On the first night, I told the woman at the front desk it wouldn’t flush. She told me to get the plunger from under the lobby cabinet, so I took the bucket and did it myself. The next morning it was blocked again, and I kept plunging it through the day. On checkout day, I told her I’d had to get the plunger every day. She said I should put the toilet paper in the trash instead of the toilet. I was stunned. That’s so unsanitary. They don’t take the trash out daily, so they expected me to leave paper with urine and fecal matter in the trash for days where I shower? She insisted there was no plumbing issue and it hadn’t happened before, even though they keep a bucket and plunger in the lobby.

I really enjoyed staying here. The place is renovated, clean, affordable, and felt safe. No bugs, dirty towels, or dirty sheets. Management was helpful and straightforward. The only downside for me was no microwave or freezer area, which is a big deal. Even so, I’d absolutely stay again.

The management were welcoming, respectful, helpful, and patient. Staying at Pico Rivera Inn and Suites felt as comfortable as being in our own home, a home away from home.
