Almost Heaven #2

The live snake we found crawling out of a floor vent was the worst part of a stay that was already being disrupted by animals trying to get through the living room walls. Joyce told us we were staying in the mountians, but that didn’t make having a snake in the home acceptable. We called her again, and she said she’d refund one night. We paid $600 for two nights and got back $145. We had paid a pet deposit and brought our pet, so after the snake showed up we tried Airbnb to see if they could move us, but everything was booked during the busiest part of the season. We stayed Friday night because we had nowhere else to go, then headed home when we couldn’t find another place. It ruined our weekend getaway, and we had to fight to get any money back. We visit Tennessee several times a year and are familiar with airbnbs and vbro. Joyce said she called about wildlife extermination, but someone should have come right away to handle the snake and the animals trying to get in. Instead, she only messaged to ask if we had gotten the snake out of her home. The place also needed a good cleaning and dusting, and the floor was gross. Photos are attached.
