You really need 4WD for the winding, single-lane drive up the mountain to Mountain Mischief, and to park at the cabin. It's also far from attractions and restaurants. My husband, our daughters, and I stayed this past weekend, and we thought the cabin needed serious updates. The master shower should be replaced, and the tile in front of it worried me because I thought the floor might give way. The shower was so dark I felt like I was bathing in the dark, and the place needs more lighting overall. The walls are thin enough that we could hear everything the girls said upstairs from our downstairs room, and vice versa. Light switches are in awkward spots, and I first noticed a hole in the master bedroom quilt. With prices that high, they should put some of the money toward updates. There's no yard, and we wouldn't stay here again.

I love auntie belhams cabin rentals, and I'm grateful they let us move to another cabin so readily. Our stay in creekside was absolutely lovely. The first cabin, though, was so dark and had no natural light. I think the photographer must have used a good camera light for the pictures. It felt very uncomfortable and closed in. The next-door cabin was right beside us, so close that from the hot tub you could almost touch its window.

It was hard getting around over all the gravel, the cabins were confusing to find, and there were no living rooms.
