As a retired educator, I don't believe anyone gets 100%, since that leaves no room to improve. Still, the BMMCIaC came close. I was told by another guest that the cats, whom I adored, had fleas, so that cost them a point. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and well ventilated. Breakfast offered variety, and the chef was happy to accommodate personal preferences. Having two breakfast times also made morning plans flexible. I'm a flatlander and found the hill driving treacherous, though the surrounding views are majestic. The wraparound porch and rocking chairs let me enjoy a changing panoramic view of the Smokies without braving those harrowing rollercoaster roads. In the morning, birds chirped in the nearby woods, with bullfrog quartets at several ponds making a harmonious orchestra. Truly a restorative spot. In my opinion, the BMMCIaC is a perfect setting for a romantic getaway or a family reunion, with several cottages available. Attractions are close enough to reach by Uber, and a free trolley can take you around the scenic mountains, stopping as needed at the many ski lifts, roller coaster rides, and mini golf courses. Back at the Inn in the evening, there's a lovely selection of sweet treats, coffee, and teas. Sitting on the back porch really makes you feel at home.

Jackie and Jilleen may have been the highlight of our Tennessee trip. We came for mountain views and good food, and booked a couples massage. We get massages fairly regularly, and this was easily one of the best we've had. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and the unhurried pace made it even better. We were so relaxed afterward that we briefly thought about canceling the rest of our plans and moving into the massage room. If we're back in Tennessee, we'll definitely return. Highly recommend! My wife and her girlfriend of over 50 years made so many lovely memories at Blue Mountain Mist, and they both want to come back. They stayed in one of the cottages for a long weekend. It was my wife's second visit and her girlfriend's first. She'd recently retired, and they planned a girls' weekend to celebrate. I had to twist her arm to choose the mountains over their usual beach trip, and I'm glad they went. (lol) They said the cabin was clean, neat, and welcoming. The shower and bath had the hottest water they'd ever touched, which she loved. They raved about breakfast each morning, saying it brought back childhood memories of eating Grandma's delicious cooking at her kitchen table. They were just minutes from Dolly wood, their first visit, and near the outlet stores too. One memorable mishap: two hours from home, she stopped for a drink and bathroom break and accidentally flushed her Key Fob down the toilet. I had to rescue them. Two weeks later, I'm still rolling on the floor laughing about it! They had a fantastic weekend, and I can enjoy a quiet weekend too.

Eric cooked a special dinner for my wife and me this time, and the beef tenderloin was the best I've ever had. Thanks, Blue Mountain Mist, for another wonderful stay. We try to come every year because we love it here. It's family owned and operated, and this family is great. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the staff are second to none, and an awesome breakfast is ready each morning. When you return in the evening, there are snacks, cakes, or cobbler waiting. Eric and Jason are the absolute best!

I've stayed here four times as of my 2026 annual trip to the Smokys, and every visit has been as excellent as the first. I don't consider anywhere else. My yearly stay is a mental reset, and I choose a cottage for privacy and quiet. For the quietest spot, pick Trillium at the very end of the lane. The only vehicle you'll hear is the Inn's van bringing breakfast to your door, if you choose that, and later checking whether you'd like housekeeping. I spend most of my time inside the cottage, where I can sprawl out on a comfy king size bed and enjoy a huge jetted tub. Breakfast is always amazing and still hot when it's brought down from the inn. Desserts are set out nightly in the main house, so cottage guests need to fetch them. You'll need to return the breakfast basket anyway, so it's two birds with one stone. You can hear the train at Dollywood, but it's faint and doesn't disturb the peace. I drive 8 hours to stay here, and the place cannot be beat. They're rated among the best for a reason, and you won't regret staying here. On what was meant to be my last night, my Jeep started acting up and I got stranded. Christy at the inn recommended a great tow truck company, Stooksbury's. The first shop couldn't fit me in, so the same company towed the Jeep up the Parkway to the Rocky Top dealership, where they got it in and fixed within a couple hours. I only had to delay leaving by 24 hours, and the inn extended my stay with no trouble. I'm so thankful no one had booked my cottage that night.
