The rooms were smaller than the photos made them look, and the bathroom was so cramped that a larger person might struggle. We found gnats in the elevator and room, plus a daddy long leg in the bathroom. The tub had marks that looked like cigarette burns. The beds were uncomfortable, and I slept badly all four nights. The toilet paper was thin and the in-room coffee maker tiny. From the fifth floor, the view was underwhelming, just a creek, ducks, and campers, with only two balcony chairs. Breakfast was about a 4/10. Check-in staff were super friendly, the elevator was quick, and it was quiet overall. The location is good, about 12 minutes from Gatlinburg, and I appreciated the full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. For the price, I wish the cleanliness, room photos, and comfort had matched. I probably wouldn’t stay again unless it’s updated.

The biggest problem for me was the checkout link. They sent it several times during our one-night stay, starting the day before checkout. I filled it out around 8 the morning we were leaving at 9:30, thinking I’d get it done in advance. Don’t do that. They assumed we’d already checked out and knocked multiple times asking to come clean. The price made the rest about what I expected: we paid $102 a night in December, and I wouldn’t pay over $125. The room was clean and the beds were great, with a river view I loved. The rooms have had a refresh, but aren’t really updated. The walls were stained, and a deep clean and renovation might help this cute location. The shower floor gave way under me, and I’m average size. The bathroom was barely big enough to pee and shower, like a camper.

We’ve stayed here many times and love the balcony over the river. Tubing in summer was fun too. Our room was in one of the dated sections, where rooms are large and split into two areas with the bathroom in between. Mattresses and soft pillows are comfortable, though the sheets and bathroom are very basic. Some rooms have been updated and others haven’t. It’s clean and comfortable, but not a luxury hotel.

The balconies have rocking chairs, a nice spot for morning coffee while watching ducks and geese in the creek. Our room had a creek view, was spacious, and had only the basic amenities. It’s a budget hotel, but breakfast was pretty good: pancakes, potato wedges, bacon, scrambled eggs each day, and the usual other items. We stayed three nights and were close to major attractions like dollywood and the island. If you’re in the second building, breakfast is a three-minute drive away, but it wasn’t much trouble.

Late at night, we found several insects on and around the mattress, including small, nymph-sized ones and what looked like a larger adult. I caught the adult alive in a cup and took it to the office, and we took several photos of it and the smaller insects. The front desk moved us to another room, which we appreciated, and later refunded that night. But the next day the manager said their inspection found no bugs in our room. That was extremely frustrating after we’d brought in the insect and shown photos. I can’t say whether they were bed bugs, carpet beetles, or some other pest. What I can say is that multiple bugs were there, and we provided both the insects and photos. Being told nothing was found felt dishonest and dismissive, as if our real concern was brushed off or we were being accused of making it up. Our family’s stay at Creekstone Inn in Pigeon Forge was deeply disappointing because of this. I hope management handles future reports with more honesty, transparency, and professionalism, and I’d urge future guests to be cautious.
