Days Inn Pigeon Forge South

From the street, the property didn't look like much, but it turned out to be a lovely stay. We chose it for the central, convenient location and expected a charming boutique-style place. I hadn't realized when booking that it was a Marriott property. Once inside, the character of the hotel and the staff both impressed us, and the experience surpassed what we expected. This was our first Tribute Portfolio stay, and it won't be our last.

The location is great, the concept is cute, and the front desk team were really nice. Our friends tried the breakfast, which usually costs extra, and said it was delicious. The toiletries were nice too. But the rooms feel their age: they're charming in style, yet dingy and unclean in places, especially the bathroom, floors, and corners behind the beds. There were water marks on the ceilings as well. I don't think we'll stay again.

Marriott did a great job giving the property a fun, casual, nostalgic feel with a personal touch. It's my favorite place to stay in Pigeon Forge, even after trying lots of other places over the years. Candy took great care of us at the Paloma, and Lorelei was a joy to chat with.

We couldn't hear a thing from the neighboring Go Kart track, so the room soundproofing impressed us. The hotel is right by the crosswalk to the Island and within walking distance of the trolley stop, which can save money on parking. Great location and service. We'll stay here for our next weekend away.
