We booked a last-minute getaway through booking.com, thinking we'd found a good deal. The woman at the front desk was nice, but the hall smelled of mildew, and our room was in bad shape. There was water damage on the walls and ceilings, a soap dispenser torn off the wall by the sink, and what looked like black mold on the AC unit and blowing out of it. Some was on one bed's sheets, so we tried to use the other bed. Then we noticed roaches and got rid of them. We were disgusted and went straight to the desk, trying to be respectful. The woman offered another room, and we paused to talk it over while she helped someone else. A man came to the desk, heard what happened, and they told us our booking was non-refundable. We said this was a different situation and we didn't feel safe staying there. He said the manager had just left, would be back at 9 the next morning, and would give us a refund. We called five to ten times on Saturday, but apparently the manager wasn't there. On Sunday morning the woman said the manager had refunded one night to booking.com, but that money never reached us. We're still in touch with booking.com about it and feel we've been lied to, like other reviewers. Staff and managers seemed aware of the problems and weren't surprised by the roaches or anything else. We contacted local health and business officials about the hotel's condition. Don't stay here or trust them with your money.
The front desk woman was very nice, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, bug-free room at a reasonable price for a two-star motel. We didn't use the pool, but it looked beautiful and very clean. The rooms are small, though that was fine since we just needed a comfy bed and a shower for our last-minute overnight trip. The walls are thin enough that the guests next door sounded like they were in our room. Luckily they went to bed at a decent hour, so it didn't bother us much. When we arrived, the third floor hallway smelled strongly of weed, so much that I could barely breathe. I wouldn't recommend a woman stay here alone. I wouldn't have felt safe by myself without my fiancé.
The lady at the front desk was super nice, and the price was decent. The linens were clean and there were no bugs, but the rooms are really small and the beds are very uncomfortable. The carpet was absolutely disgusting. I took my shoes off and my feet were black. There was a weird smell every time we came back to the room. We stayed three nights and probably wouldn't return. That carpet was nasty everywhere.
I spent less than 20 minutes in the room and made two trips to the night desk, but still lost $150.99. The clerk cursed at me, said the room was okay, and told me I shouldn't have booked through Expedia because they wouldn't provide another room or a refund. I was promised a refund within 48 hours, and it's been over a week. They say they've fixed the problem but still refuse to return my money. Please read the reviews on book it .com before booking. I wish I had, because I wouldn't have been scammed. The City of Pigeon Forge should inspect this place. The room smelled strongly of mildew as soon as I walked in. I told the clerk, who gave me air freshener. I sprayed it and turned on the AC, but the smell was disgusting. Looking closer, I found active mold and other crud growing in the AC unit. I asked for another room and was refused, then asked for a refund and was refused again because we'd booked on Expedia. We had to find another motel. The manager was supposed to call at 10 am to discuss it, but never did. I called a couple of times and apparently the manager wasn't working. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common complaint. They should condemn this place until it's fixed. I've still never spoken to the supposed manager, and other reviewers haven't been able to either. Don't book this disgusting place.
We killed six yellow jackets before reporting them, and I'm allergic, so please check the room carefully. They downgraded us to a room with two queens because our original room was full of them. The rooms are small, but okay for a one-night stay.
