Le Conte Hotel & Convention Center, Ascend Hotel

The staff were so patient and accommodating when our three birthday kids got rowdy opening presents. We were celebrating my son's 8th birthday weekend and had his two 9yr old cousins with us, one of whom has special needs. The cleaning was top notch. While we were at breakfast, the staff refreshed our towels, took out the trash, cleaned the toilet, and even arranged the kids' stuffed animals cutely on the bed. The pools were very clean and breakfast was good. This will be our go to place when we're in town. 10/10 recommend 🙌🏼

The room was basic but fine, and housekeeping kept everything very clean. The shower was a real letdown after a long day walking the parks or shopping. Water pressure was poor, and the water never got hot. We tried at different times, from early morning through late night, with no change. It was cool, not even really warm.

There's a lot more here than the standard hotel room. We had a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette with a two burner stovetop, fridge, coffee pot, dishes for two, plus a bathroom, iron, and ironing board. There's a washer and dryer on each floor, and free breakfast, though I can't remember if it runs 7am-9am or 7am-10am. The place was SUPER clean everywhere, and the staff were very friendly. It's near the Alamo Steak, and the outside initially made me think these were apartments. The only issue was our data Wi-Fi, which didn't work well. The hotel's non-secure Wi-Fi wasn't the one giving us trouble. I still recommend the hotel without a doubt, but gave it 4 stars because of the Wi-Fi.

I used booking. com and got a message two days before check-in reminding me of my arrival time. They seem to do everything for their guests. The room was spacious and had a balcony, stove, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, microwave, and kitchen utensils. It was also very clean. The carpets were well cleaned, and the fresh smelling linens and well washed towels were clean. The big bathtub was clean, and the shower curtain looked new. I'll book Le Conte Hotel again when I return to Pigeon Forge.
