The staff and hotel made a hard family weekend a little easier. We were there in early January for the funeral of a dear child, and everyone was kind and accommodating. We had a comfortable room with a jacuzzi bath, which helped relieve some stress. We used the gym in the morning and had breakfast together in the lounge on both mornings. On the night we arrived, 69 Prime stayed open so our family could gather, even though we walked in without notice about two minutes before closing. We took a quick trip into Chicago, about 30 minutes away, and explored the town too. There was a very quaint book and record store. When we left, we realized we’d forgotten a couple of things in the room, including a sound machine. The hotel mailed them back at no cost, which was a kind surprise. Having now seen Chicago, we plan to return, and Le Banc is where we’ll stay.

We left three nights early because the room felt unsafe and uncomfortable. There was black mold in the bathroom that triggered my asthma and irritated my throat. The heater gave off a burning smell when we tried it, so we couldn’t use it, and I struggled to breathe. We also heard neighbors snoring, babies crying, toilets flushing, and showers running through the thin walls, and got no sleep. The room was poorly cleaned, with hair in the tub, around it, on the sheets, and on the pillows. The bed frame was stained, the beds had no comforters, and the pillows were uncomfortable. The tub spouts were loose and the hair dryer was melted and didn’t work. Melissa at the front desk listened to my concerns at 2 a.m., but the morning manager dismissed them. I booked a weekend at Hotel LeBlanc and regretted it as soon as I entered the room. I strongly advise against booking here and recommend reporting the hotel. This is unacceptable for any business.

We were in town for a gymnastics meet, and the hotel was close to the venue, the highway, and the general Pigeon Forge area. It was clean and nice enough, and I’d stay again. The actual name is Garner Hotel by IHG. I assume IHG recently took over this location, which may be why the name is different.

The Wi-Fi barely worked, with only 0.06 MB down in our room. The hallways smelled of paint, the lobby was being remodeled without any notice, and the walls had large gouges. Breakfast felt poor for the price. The faux hardwood floor was dirty and sticky, and still felt that way after we asked for cleaning while we went to dinner. We paid over $400 a night for a so-called suite at this “luxury” hotel. We stay in lots of hotels and rarely spend this much. I usually get a better room, room service, and a nicer hotel for about half the cost. I won’t return or recommend Hotel LeBlanc. I feel misled and cheated, and plan to reach out directly to Brad LeBlanc. He has a branding issue in Pigeon Forge.

During the renovation, the walls were very thin, construction noise kept going, and a room across from ours was being used for storage. The Wi-Fi was unreliable even after someone came to replace the router. There was only one elevator, and it was extremely slow. After a long day out, we found we couldn’t get into our room because the locks had been changed without telling us. Before we arrived, I got a call asking me to switch from a king to two queens. It didn’t feel like I had a choice, though I’d paid more for the king through Expedia and wasn’t refunded. I understand renovations happen, but communication and customer service were lacking. I wouldn’t stay again until the transition is complete.
