Mountain Breeze Motel

The room was clean, with plenty of fresh towels and the usual bathroom supplies. Our double queen beds were firm, and there was just a sheet and light bedspread. We couldn't find an extra blanket, though we didn't ask for one. I also wished there were a grab bar by the toilet or shower for guests with limited mobility. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and there were free snacks like glazed Krispy kreme donuts and popcorn. I think that was the “continental breakfast,” but I never checked. It was a cute motel for the price and the location was prime. Traffic was noisy, and around 6:30 Tuesday morning a group started shouting across the parking lot, then sat outside smoking, drinking coffee, and chatting without seeming to realize people might still be asleep.

It's quiet and peaceful here, and the rooms are clean and cozy. The staff are wonderful, and the office has homemade cookies and other treats. The Island is within walking distance, so the location is convenient. You can book a smoking room or sit in a rocker outside your room to smoke without leaving the property. We'll definitely come back.

Being midway along the Parkway makes this motel handy for walking to both the Old Mill and the Island. The staff were especially welcoming and courteous, and they knew a lot about the area. Our room was cute, clean, and nicely equipped. Christmas decorations, including reindeer, Santa Clause, and twinkling lights, made the visit more fun. The office has coffee, cookies, popcorn, Krispy Kream, and other quick breakfast items. If I travel through here again, I'd book here.

The location was just right, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are nice for what they cost, and everyone we met was really friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay.
