Oakmont Resort

We booked several units and had a great stay in every one. The resort is in a convenient spot, and both the rooms and grounds were clean and cared for. Staff were kind, helpful, and quick to respond. The living areas had comfortable furniture and new carpeting. They also supplied a pack and play and high chair for the baby. I’d recommend it for a visit to Pigeon Forge.

There’s good space in the unit, with a full kitchen tucked into a small area that still had everything we needed except a washer and dryer. Both bathrooms have tubs and heaters, and the rounded shower curtains give you more room while showering. The buildings seem solid, and the heat warmed the place quickly. The rooms are dated, but very clean.

We’ve owned here for decades, and the one real upside is how cheap it is. Everything feels cheap, including the service. The Wi-Fi is about the worst in the modern world, and it feels like nobody manages the place. Complaining doesn’t seem worth the effort. Cheap, cheap.

The location worked so well for us, near Dollywood, Teaster, and Veteran Blvd, that we’re thinking about buying a unit. We’ll definitely return. The resort is still run by its owners, and it’s clear people like coming back. Our unit was well kept and quiet, and the kitchen had the appliances we needed. The office can lend crockpots if you don’t bring one. There was a fun activity each day, and we liked the music by the firepit on chilly evenings. The indoor pool and hot tub were welcome in the cool weather, and free laundry was a nice bonus. I also enjoyed chatting with the staff, especially Andrew, who came by our unit to tell me about some resells available.
